Amidst a sweltering summer in 2009, Ultramark and Cobrazebra began writing songs together in their Chicago apartment. After gaining an overwhelmingly positive reaction from friends and locals they began writing their first EP entitled 'Ordinaire'. In early 2010 they wrote the 80's cop show style theme song for the enormously popular web comic 'Axe Cop' which has since been used in the Axe Cop motion comic series and has been downloaded like crazy from their last.fm page. Now based out of Grand Rapids, MI, Stepdad have already gained a modest yet rabid fanbase
