Born in Dudley this West Midlands lad has so far been around the professional block not once but many times. In his own words…
‘’I’ve worked in a zoo and sampled Craven A’s.
I’ve worked in an office but maths let me down. I’ve been a postman and a chef serving food on narrow boats at three in the morning. I’ve designed logos and letterheads in a print shop.
I’ve been a Primary school teacher and married another. I’ve written a book on how to teach art and an un-published, never to be published novel. I’ve been a lifeguard and built a swim school.’’
Throughout all of this uncertainty the one constant has been the need and desire to make and record music.
I have never set out to sound like anyone but some people have likened some songs to the work of Jack Johnson and Colin Hay.
My vocal style has been compared to Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) Chad Kroeger (Nickelback) and Chris Rea.......... what a party that would be.
Through all the chopping and changing, Paul has managed to produce a fantastic range of beautifully composed tracks.
The life experience gained can be unquestionably felt throughout his songs, giving them a truly heartwarming and familiar feel.
Vocally, He has been compared to greats Dave Grohl and Chad Kroeger. Musically, Jack Johnson and Colin Hay. Big shoes that no doubt Paul will not only fit snuggly into but quickly out grow.
