TheMorrisband is currently a three piece band based out of L.A. California fronted by Kyle Morris who is also the heart of this project. On vocals and guitar, Kyle has been writing songs ever since he started playing guitar at the age of 12. Dave Novotny on drums and Erim on bass. Kyle writes songs that are personal and introspective. These songs have the soul of old school R&B, the heart of Rock N’ Roll and grounded with the roots of the Blues. His guitar playing is heavily influenced by such axe slingers as Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Chris Duarte and Albert King. His musical influences however expand from old school R&B and funk, the Black Crowes, Rolling Stones, led Zeppelin, Crosby Stills & Nash, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd to the Red Hot Chili PeppersSTP, SoundGarden, and Metallica. TheMorrisband has a 5 song EP out titled “Selfish Generosity” which was written and recorded in Gothenburg, Sweden. Currently the band is working on promoting and performing the EP.
