NO MORE RAINBOWS marks Even Elroy’s third independent full-length studio release in four years--a substantial accomplishment in today’s musical climate. With songs featured on MTV’s The Real World: Brooklyn (Season Premier, Jan 2009), and additional airings slated for shows on Oxygen, Lifetime, ETV!, USA network, and several upcoming independent films, the group finds themselves poised for a national explosion as they enter their seventh year as a band.
The piano-led quartet is the very essence of what an independent act can achieve today, if they are willing to put in the work. The group has routinely entertained audiences on both coasts with their highly energetic live show, working their way up both the club circuit and college campuses. Their music is immediately catchy yet deceivingly complex, combining the lyrical ability and self-taught piano skills of lead singer Jeff Michaels with the stellar musicianship of the band. They’ve recently made a successful transition to video producers with their two acclaimed independent videos, Another Song About Life, and Girls Kissing Girls.
The group’s previous releases NOTHING’S REALLY CHANGED (2006) produced by Jerry Becker (Train) and RED JACKET (2004) featuring Steve Bowman (Counting Crows), have become underground successes, featured on over 200 college and independent radio stations nationwide, reaching “Top 5 Add” status in numerous college markets.
Recent appearances include: showcases at Red Gorilla Music Fest during SXSW in Austin, TX (March 2009), Born to Play Live sponsored by The Gap (August 2009), live performance on KRON TV Inside San Diego Morning Show, KFOG 104.5FM in San Francisco, and a live DVD recording broadcasted to an estimated 40,000 viewers on Musical Café in Santa Barbara.
