From a diverse background comes an illustrious future for David Donner. Born in Arizona and raised in the “Treasure Coast” of Florida, this composer of acoustic and classical guitar has come a long way from his humble beginnings. After more than five years of classical guitar studies, majoring in music at Indian River College, and furthering his understanding of music engineering at the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, David has developed a distinctive style of playing.
In his debut album, “AcoustiClassical Christmas”, David pulls from a plethora of different musical influences. He’s been inspired by acoustic-guitar greats such as Michael Hedges, Phil Keaggy, and Al Di Meola, along with rock legends such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Jimi Hendrix. The album features 10 heartwarming Christmas songs with lush guitar arrangements and a crisp, vibrant sound. This album is an escape from the worn out Bing Crosby CD that seems to bore you every holiday season.
“AcoustiClassical Christmas” comes just in time for the holidays and mixes melodies of well know songs such as “Do You Hear What I Hear?”, “We Three Kings”, and “What Child Is This?” with refreshing sections of original guitar artistry. Be sure to unwrap the album this season or get in the holiday spirit and give it as a gift to someone you love.
~ AcoustiClassical Christmas is not just a Christmas album, but a style of guitar playing expressed through classic Christmas songs.
