Sara Scott

Charlotte, NC United States

Bio: Sara Scott’s music is fresh, honest, soul-stirring, beautiful. It is a mix of folk, rock, pop, jazz, with a country thread woven through. Her vocals are haunting, angelic, soaring. Sara herself is transparent, honest, and lively. She plays regularly in Charlotte, NC and the surrounding areas, as well as Nashville, TN.
Sara’s album, “The Way of Things”, was released on July 21st, to a gathering of 750 in Charlotte, NC. 400 copies were sold in 4 days, and the response has been unanimously positive and enthusiastic. Her album can also be found on iTunes, Amazon, DigStation, and CD Baby. She is now traveling near and far to promote the album and expand her fan base.
Sara is also working on her second studio project, an EP entitled “Love Without Love”. It is highly anticipated and will be available Spring/Summer 2010.
All of this, and a tour, too? Yes. Sara is planning and preparing for her Open Mic Tour. “It’s exactly what it sounds like. I will be traveling to music cities all over the US, playing at any open mics and other open events that I can. I am working hard to get my face and name and music to as many people as I can. This should be a fun way of doing it!” Tour stops include Charlotte, Nashville, Boston, NYC, and Los Angeles.
Sara has been singing and playing piano since she was 2 years old, and has played guitar for almost 8 years. She is a prolific writer and talented musician and vocalist. She travels with a full band when necessary, which includes drums, percussion, guitars, keys, violin, and mandolin. However, the consensus among her fans is “Sara is at her best when it is her, her voice, and her acoustic guitar”. It is usually a mix of both options that form a Sara Scott show. She has played for groups ranging in size from 10 in local high schools and colleges to 5,000 at Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, NC.
Sara Scott is the real deal. You won’t be disappointed by the music or the person.
