Bio: Singer, songwriter, musician, producer and a tropical nut..." Thats how the Brazilian artist Alisson Mark defines himself. He was born in the city of Sao Paulo, which is the cultural and financial capital of Brazil. There, he had private classes with the famous guitar player Renata Montanari, and vocal coaching from the established voice professors Consiglia Latorre and Magali Mussi. Besides, he was Reynaldo Garrido's and Roberto Bomilcar's student, both maestros conductors who taught him theory, arrangement and music history at the renowned college ULM (Universidade Livre de Música). It is amazing that Alisson also graduated in Communication & Marketing at the Catholic University PUC-SP.

Besides his powerful and enchanting lead and back singing, reading, writing and arranging skills, Alisson is also a gifted multi instrumentalist who is able to play the acoustic and electric guitar, bass, piano, and keyboard.

Whether performing as a recording session artist, sideman or a front man, Alisson brings inside his luggage of experience three celebrated albums. The debut album is called Mandarin, which is considered by some experts in the field, a Brazilian Masterpiece. Alisson also recorded an album named Classics, which was a special project, and according to his own words: Classics was crafted to honor my music heroes. He, actually, received from the critics some great reviews about the arrangements and his performance.

Before moving to New York the singer recorded his most venturous and audacious project, the outstanding album called The Wolf Time. All written, produced and performed by him in collaboration with the great producer Ro Fonseca. The album has a soulful pop/rock atmosphere, well crafted with beautiful melodies and harmonies, contemporary arrangements, visual and straight forward lyrics, irresistible hooks and catchy choruses. Everything blended with his charming - soothing accent and his Brazilian spiciness like pointed the American Web Magazine H Style.

Actually, its a delightful surprise for people who always associate Brazilian music with Bossa Nova and Carnival. The singer exceeds all expectations, delivering each song in an outstanding way, with his powerful raw tone and mature guitar playing. His sexy/ raspy voice reminds us of unforgettable performers such as Rod Stewart and Bryan Adams, but with his exquisite sense of rhythm and style.

According to Mark, The Wolf Time is one step ahead of everything he has done so far. When I put it in perspective I feel that I achieved another level with these songs The tunes are more mature, unique and I had the chance to let out all my intuition and my creativity says the singer.

As a matter of fact, Alisson was one hundred percent correct, because his intuition and creativity caught the attention of some important people inside the music industry, such as the noted American Agent Laurena Campos, who is the CEO of Grit PR, a well established management company that has been working with a substantial amount of awarded artists, such as the Emmy nominated Gangstagrass.

Recently the songwriter got signed by three important American Publishing & Licensing Companies - Pig Factory Music Publishing, Pacifica Music and Pump Audio Licensing & Publishing. These music libraries licensed all the songs from the album The Wolf Time.

Pig Factory, that also licensed his songs written in Portuguese, is an international music publishing, licensing and production company representing over 250,000 songs, with catalogs that include hits performed by artists such as Tina Turner, Iggy Pop, Pussycat Dolls, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, The Turtles, The Dead Kennedys and many others. Besides, their credits include placements in major movies, advertisements and TV shows world wide.

In other words, they would never license any material that could not be considered top notch, to say the least.

Alisson has performed, produced and recorded with the most important, talented and famous artists in Brazil, such as Dominguinhos, Agnaldo Rayol, Fabio Junior, Chitãozinho & Xororó, Silvinha and Rosemary from Jovem Guarda, Padre Marcelo, Gretchen, Grupo Polegar, Grupo Banana Split, Claudya Oliveira, Grupo Cheiro da Terra among others. These artists have sold dozens of millions of albums and DVDs.

His song Neon was included in the sound track of the soap opera Louca Paixão (Crazy Passion), turning out to be a huge success all over the country.

With the tune Sem Dor, Sem Você (Without Pain, Without You), he participated in the Tatuis Festival in 2005, the most important Festival in the country, being awarded for best performance along with Claudya Oliveira, a famous Brazilian singer, who was intensively praised by the songwriter Tim Rice, Elton Johns partner, when in her performance of "Evita" written by Andrew Lloyd Weber.

The singer was nominated for Prêmio Visa de MPB (Visa Brazilian Music Award), which is an important award sponsored by O Estado de Sao Paulo, the most reliable and respectable Brazilian newspaper, and by the multinational company VISA.

The Canadian jazz singer Josie Vie recorded some Alisson tunes as well. Songs like Stay with Me, Sweet Days, Good Times, lyrics and music by Mark, and Sapphire Blue, which is a partnership with Ms. Vie, will make part of her next album. The American rapper Maverick also recorded a duet with Alisson.

The songwriter is a partner of the lyricist Fernando Gue, who was recorded by the Grammy winner Luciana Souza in collaboration with the legendary composer Herbie Hancock on his awarded album River (The Joni letters), a tribute to Joni Mitchell.

Alisson Mark belongs to the Warner Chappells cast of composers and songwriters. He has published songs there since the nineties, and it is always relevant to mention that Warner Chappell is the biggest publishing and music company in the world. He is also affiliated to ABRAMUS, one of the most important P.R.Os (Performing Right Organization) of Brazil.

As a singer and songwriter, Alisson also participated of the most important Festivals in the country, such as the Maua Festival; Ponta Grossa Festival; and Maringa Festival. One of his exceptional songs Carnaval de estrangeiro (Foreign Carnival) was considered by the critics and the audience the apex of the Americana Festival, an annual festival with thousands of competitors inside and outside Brazil.

Mark has sung and played his guitar in hundreds of venues in Brazil and America, such as Broadway Baby; The Set and Time Out Lounge in New York City, and the ESPM and USP Theater, which are the most important theaters in Sao Paulo -Brazil.

His performances were aired and broadcasted all over the country on famous TV and Radio shows, such as CNT TV, FAPCOM UNIVERSITY, and BANDEIRANTES RADIO, and it is also relevant to highlight that these shows had top audience ratings.

Mark has lent his voice, not only to the music, but also to the advertising industry. All over this decade, the artist has voice-over, produced, and worked as a back and lead singer, stamping his artistry and musicianship on a variety of major products, such as General Motors; Master Card, Coca-Cola, Carrefour, Avon, Carlton, SBT Television, among others.

Alisson has the reputation of being one of the best music tutors of the country. He teaches singing, acoustic and electric guitar, theory and arrangement. The singer also writes for noted music magazines such as the Brazilian reference Acústico - Acoustic.
