Fred's slide guitar and unique playing style have wowed and dazzled audiences for years. His voice and songwriting remind many of a young Neil Young.
He is the guitarist for Neighbors + Allies, one of David Bowie's favorite NY bands in the 1980's. Fred has composed music for Sesame Street, PBS, numerous commercials, and has worked with musicians such as Jeff Buckley, Pete Shelly, and Deee-Lite. Joni Mitchell and Johnny Cash were among many of the artists he worked with at venues such as Fez and Joe's Pub in NYC over the course of his long and varied career.
Recently Fred produced 2 songs with Ed Hamell for the Hamell On Trial cd "Tough Love" on Righteous Babe records. Fred wrote and performed a novelty song, "Ozark Melody" with Jeff Buckley and Joe Trip. You can find it here:
