Multi-instrumentalist Avi Bortnick was a member of the John Scofield Band from 2000 to 2005, lending his skills as a guitarist and samplist to two Verve records releases and live shows throughout the world. He currently lives in New York City, where he collaborates with various artists on recordings and live shows, and writes music for television commercials.
