Following in the footsteps of John Mayer and Gavin Degraw, Ben Sultan is a young singer/songwriter with inspired, catchy songs that often have a slight comedic twist. Whether Ben is performing at a coffee shop or a large rock venue, the room is filled with a cool sense of intimacy.
Ben’s music is popular with a wide demographic of fans, because of the all-too-relatable lyrics of songs like “Coffee Girl”, a song about a brief unrequited crush on an anonymous love interest written during a late-night work shift. His popular song “The A.D.D. Song”, is Ben’s witty take on his real life-long struggle with Attention Deficit Disorder. While in touch with his younger audience, Ben often crosses-over into more mature subjects. Songs like “Southeast”, a roadhouse song, and “Moodring”, a song about noticing how our environment affects us have earned Ben the addition of a very loyal adult audience.
Just as important as the quality of his music, Ben is personable and has a strong presence. He is passionate about music and has paid his dues by releasing two albums and performing at a variety of top venues including, The Listening Room, The Snitch Bar, the New Balance Center, and the Knitting Factory to name a few. Ben has also performed at many schools, and has raised money for charities at special benefit concerts including Relay for Life and Amnesty International. Recently Ben has been featured on WHUD & The Peak, two of Westchester's most well-known radio stations.
With the November 2008 release of his new album “Biggest Futurehits ”, and an ever-expanding list of concerts, Ben is optimistic about his future as a performer, and he looks forward to the new experiences that come with every concert.
