Azure Noir is Trip-Hop, Ambient and Downtempo with mixed influences ranging from Portishead, Birthday Massacre and Massive Attack to J Dilla, Velure, Zero 7, Morcheeba, and Al Green. Formed by composer King, vocalist Morguen Merlot, and bass player AC, the group has worked together to create what they call a “soundscape for life.”
Azure Noir, based in Las Vegas, NV, was formed in 2007 by emcee/producer King (Las Vegas) and Morguen Merlot, the former lead singer of In Winter (Cleveland). In Winter became one of the top bands in Cleveland, OH. Headlining most venues, In Winter also opened for bands such as The Birthday Massacre, The Genitorturers, Wednesday 13, Lennon and many more!
