Aaron Copland Award, the Henri Mancini MP/TV Music Award, a BMI Award, the Borromeo String Quartet Award, the Brandenburg Symphonic Orchestra award for Chamber Music, lst Place in the Lee Ettleson Award of Composers, Inc., AMC Grants (4), Pacific Composers Association Competition Awards (2), Commision funded by the S. Mark Taper Foundation, Fellowship at the Ernst Bloch Festival in Oregon under Chinary Ung, and an NEH grant.

Performances and Recordings include String Quartet#2, Kwasi's Revenge was premiered by the Penderecki Quartet at the Casalmaggiore International Music Festival in Italy in 2006.

Aspen Quartet was recorded by the Arditti String Quartet on an Albany Records CD.

Pater Noster, was premiered in April, 2008 at St. Peter's Church in Manhattan as part of the Gregg Smith Singers 50th Anniversary festival of events.
