John Zielinski is a composer, instrumentalist, and vocalist living in metropolitan Chicago. His compositions include works for soloists, chamber and rock ensembles, electronics and film. He has also arranged for musical theater.
As a performer, John has appeared as a member of chamber, rock, and jazz groups, both in concert and on recordings. He was an original member of the Kamikaze Horns and has backed artists such as Little Anthony, Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon, Lou Christie, Danny and the Juniors, The Del Vikings, The Diamonds, The Drifters, Lesley Gore, Bobby Lewis, The Platters, Del Shannon and The Shirelles.
Along the way John's activities have also included providing private education in music theory, electronic music, and saxophone. His writings on music and music-technology related topics have appeared in "Billboard" and "International Musician".
