At 15 years old, I really pissed off my mom when I traded my school-band trumpet for a guitar. She got over it, and I got an itch I'm still scratchin' at 50, with the debut of my CD, Wild Horse. I think mountain music might best describe what I do. Born and raised a fourth-generation Coloradoan (for years I've made my home on a small ranch in South Park, Colorado; in my opinion, one of the most beautiful, creative, and spiritual places on the planet, plus home to a great indie music festival in the fall), I've worked as a janitor, dishwasher, water & sewer plant operator, ski area snowmaker and cat driver, carpenter, farmer and rancher, horse trainer, park ranger, and photographer. I've been around, and melded these experiences into a simple style of guy and guitar. My influences include just about anyone else who sings and plays guitar, but Neil Young, Kris Kristofferson, and Eric Anderson are just a few that standout.
