Clayton J. Foor was born in Detroit, Michigan. He holds a B.A. in Music from Stanford University with a concentration in composition; a B.S. from Stanford University in Computer Science; and an M.S. from Stanford University in Civil Engineering.
Clayton is a recipient of the 2007-2008 ASCAP Plus Award for composition. Clayton has taught music at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, CA, Las Positas College in Livermore, CA, and Sunset Elementary School in Pleasanton, CA. For eight years he served as the music minister at Tri-Valley Unity Church in Dublin, CA. In addition to composing, Clayton has a private piano teaching practice of 35 students. He also directs the East Bay Festival Chorus and is a professional pianist who can be found playing at Bay Area churches, private parties, and at the Nordstrom Department store two days per week.
