Bio: Dorian Kelly studied trumpet and piano at the Royal College of Music Junior Department for two years and then Trinity College of Music for a further three years. After leaving Music College he worked as a professional freelance trumpet player, including performances with Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, Neil Diamond, Jamie Cullum, and The Temptations, as well as appearances on ITV (Regional), BBC Radio 3 and 4.

He later completed the Music for the Media course and since then he has composed and recorded the music for eleven short films and animations and has around 50 tracks published with library music companies all over the world.

Now based in West Yorkshire, Dorian has made media composition his full-time occupation. His studio includes a host of professional sample sets including the East West Gold XP Pro Symphonic Orchestra, the full Project Sam Brass collection and numerous virtual instruments to suit most musical genres.

Dorian is experienced in composing in many styles but particularly enjoys creating orchestral, choral and jazz scores, as well as abstract soundscapes. Where applicable, he ensures that his compositions could be played by real musicians which helps to make a sample based orchestra sound more authentic.
