Cape Breton, Nova Scotia born and raised, Michael Brennan is considered the voice of REAL country music in Toronto. Possessing a deep, rich voice that’s been compared to Waylon Jennings and Roy Orbison, Brennan
writes honest, straight-up working man songs full of characters who’ve loved and lost more often than they’ve won. In the mid 80’s Brennan and his brother Tim were the driving force behind Halifax’s seminal roots-rock band the Lone Stars, which pre-dated the explosion of indie bands in Halifax in the 90s. Moving
to Toronto in the early 90s, Brennan formed the Wayward Angels, who became known as Toronto’s best kept roots rock secret.
