Rapid’s music is colored by her world travels and varied experiences. Born in Germany and lived in Africa as a small child with her diplomatic service parents, Annie eventually moved to Los Angeles where she spent the majority of her childhood until attending college at UC Berkeley where she received a BA of Architecture. This was followed by a period of living and working in Amsterdam, Holland before undertaking graduate studies at the Architectural Association''''s Graduate School of Architecture in London where she earned her Masters Degree, as well as studying at the University of Madrid. With the world as her oyster, Rapid’s compelling story-songs draw from folk’s narrative power, pop music’s ear for melody and the rhythmic impulses of the acoustic guitar.
