Kay Morris is a singer/song writer, humanitarian and a world changer.
She is a multi-award winning internationally acclaimed recording Gospel artiste. She is the president of the Kay Morris Foundation (KMF), a non-profit NGO based in Ghana, W. Africa and Canada. Kay was raised by two Pentecostal Minister parents, and at an early age, was exposed to two guiding principles: spiritual faith and the power of message of music. It came as little surprise that the electrifying Kay Morris began singing at the tender age of four! She later migrated to Canada where she started a spectacular Reggae Gospel multi-award winning career.
Her mission, through the Kay Morris Foundation (KMF), is to give a voice to the voiceless. To make sure that the under-privileged receive the basic needs in medicine, food and clothing.
April 2004 & 2005, keeping with her mission statement, she visited the Ghana AIDS Commission, UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees) Liberian Refugee Camp & donated medicine and medical supplies to the St. Gregory’s Catholic Clinic which houses over 42,000 refugees. She also donated medicine and medical supplies to the Ghana AIDS Commission and the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra. KMF received donations of books from the Mississauga Central Library and have donated over 600 books and educational materials to the children at the St. Gregory’s Catholic Elementary School in Accra April 2005. Her mission to Africa also took her to the Human Service Trust Orphanage in Cape Coast where she donated clothing, books and toiletries to the children.
March 2006 – Multi-Millionnaire David Singh of Destiny Donations, donated 1.5 million dollars worth of ARVs (anti-retroviral) HIV/AIDS drugs through the Kay Morris Foundation for the 2006 Ghana medicine mission. During her 2006 medicine mission in Ghana August 2006, the people of Ghana decided to honor her for the work she is doing in Africa, she was installed Queen Nana Sika of Berekuso, Ghana - Her Royal Highness pledges to help build schools and clinics for children in Africa.
Kay Morris is the proud nominee of the 2005 UMAC (Urban Music Awards of Canada) Community Service Awards for the Kay Morris Foundation.
