The ICP collection - Weegee’s world and beyond
The world-renowned International Center of Photography is a museum dedicated to the understanding and appreciation of photography. Since its inception in 1974, the ICP has amassed one of the world’s greatest photographic collections, effectively spanning the history of the medium.
One such collection, that of 20th century photography pioneer Arthur Fellig – or Weegee, as he liked to be called – can be found here, featuring photos that capture the essence of New York City in all its gritty, authentic glory. Travel through Weegee's world and beyond.
