Police crush homeless people's protest in New York

NEW YORK, USA - MARCH 13: New York police intervene homeless protesters blocking traffic right before New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's Mahhattan office in NYC, USA on March 13, 2017. The protesters who urge authorities to take immediate action to fight homelessness which have reached big proportions in New York state start a civil obedience action by blocking the traffic at the end of the demonstration. Police first warn the demonstrators to unblock the road and then start to arrest resisting protesters. The protesters are handcuffed and brought to police vehicles by police. The demonstration which is part of simultaneous demonstration held outside Cuomo's office in Albany as well organized with the initiative of anti poverty group Voices Of Community Activists & Leaders (VOCAL-NY). According to VOCAL-NY press release in New York under Cuomo administration the number of homeless people has reached to 88,000 with 41 percent increase.
