The Marjorelle Gardens in Marrakech, Morocco, North Africa. In 1924 the painter Jacques Majorelle acquired the land and started the landscape that became the Majorelle Gardens. Following his return to France and death the gardens lapsed into dereliction but were restored by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge.
