Manila, PHILIPPINES: A Worker at the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) arranges buckets containing bathroom and kitchen accessories in Manila, 15 December 2006, prior to their distribution amongst surviving victims of the mudflow triggered by Typhoon Durian. The strongest typhoon to hit the Philippines in living memory unleashed avalanches of volcanic debris which buried more than 700 villages and farms, leaving more than 2,000 people dead or missing, according to the civil defense office.
