Two levels of the George Washington Bridge are visible November 18, 2012 from the West Side Highway in the Bronx borough of New York City. Opened in 1931, the 3,500' bridge carries approximately 106 million vehicles per year. The bridge connects New York and New Jersey. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey owns and operates the bridge.
