Owner Of Empire State Bldg Objects To Proposed Nearby NYC Skyscraper

A proposed tower on 34th Street would stand only 900 feet away from the iconic Empire State Building if it were to be completed. The new tower, which would be built at 15 Penn Plaza, has drawn criticism from the owners of the 102-storey Empire State Building, who say that at its current proposed height it would be just 34 feet shorter than the Empire State building and would severely alter the view of the Manhattan skyline.
