Planes on Approach to Reagan National on July 31st
Caption: ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA - JULY 31: These photos of passenger jets on approach (and landing) at Reagan National Airport were taken just hours after a near collision. The near disaster occurred at about 2:00pm and these images were made later in the afternoon from a boat on the Potomac River. There were thunder heads in the area in the late afternoon and early evening and many of the incoming planes made adjustments on approach because of storm clouds nearby. (Photo by Michael S.
