At least six people were killed and dozens injured on July 12, 2013 after a speeding train split in two and derailed at a station in the southern suburbs of Paris, officials said. This latest accident is the worst train catastrophe since June 2, 2008 when a passenger train linking Evian-les-Bains and Geneva hit a school bus at a level crossing near the town of Allinges, in the French Alps.
