Credit:

The north facing slopes of the Hindu Kush mountains remain covered with snow, long after it has melted off the warmer southern slopes, east of Kabul. Flying anywhere in Afghanistan is always a reminder of why fighting there is so hard. As seen from a UH-60 BLack Hawk Helicopter flying east from Kabul towards Pakistan.
