Median Nerve Above Wrist

The median nerve may be stretched at any part of its course in the arm, 1899. From 'The Treatise of the Human Anatomy and Its Applications to the Practice of Medicine and Surgery, Volume I' (1899). The median basilic vein will be found lying on the inner side of, and parallel with, the incision, and should be drawn to one side as soon as exposed. The deep fascia and bicipital fascia should be divided in the line of the original incision and the brachial artery exposed. The median nerve will be found on the inner side of the artery.
