Csatary, accused by the Wiesenthal Center of having helped organise the deportation of some 15,700 Jews to the Auschwitz death camp during World War II, 'has been taken into custody,' the public prosecutors office said in a statement. He was due to go before an investigating magistrate for questioning about alleged war crimes and could be charged afterwards, after which he may be allowed to return home, Ibolya said.
