The three remains which were repatriated at this 125th post-war repatriation of US remains from Vietnam were recovered by recent joint MIA research conducted by Vietnamese and US field teams. To date 985 US soldiers from the Vietnam War have been identified since 1973 - 689 from Vietnam, 258 from Laos, 35 from Cambodia and 3 from China, according to a press release from the US embassy in Hanoi. Some 1,661 US soldiers are still unaccounted for from the war, including 1,282 in Vietnam, according to the press release.
