Tu Ethnic Minority Group Wedding Ceremony
Caption: HUZHU COUNTY, CHINA - JANUARY 30: (CHINA OUT) Relatives cook food during a Tu ethnic minority group wedding ceremony of Qi Xinghe and his bride Luo Jinhua on January 30, 2007 in Huzhu County of Qinghai Province, northwest of China. The wedding lasts two days. During the first day of the ceremony, relatives of the groom bring gifts to the bride's home. The brides relatives then shut the door and sing to test the sincerity of the groom. The Bride's family finally welcome in the guests and they dance to celebrate the marriage. During the early morning of the second day, the families help the bride dress up and the girl bids thanks and farewell to her parents. At dawn, the groom rides a horse to pick up the bride and the short ceremony is held at the groom's home. Relatives of both families then enjoy a grand feast. The newlyweds bid farewell to the relatives of the bride at dusk as the ceremony ends. (Photo by China Photos/Getty Images)
