The second general strike this year hit Spain with protesters marching in several cities against sweeping austerity measures and high unemployment, scenes echoed elsewhere in Europe. Spain, the eurozone's fourth-biggest economy, is suffering 25 percent unemployment, with the rate even higher amongst young people. The placards read: (L-R) 'A day without salary is hard, a life without rights is worse', 'Without fear, we can succeed', 'Without fear we can do everything' and 'Capitalism is the world's most respected genocide.'
