A picture taken on October 29, 2013 shows a statue by French sculptor Auguste Guenot (1882-1966) representing a naked 'Poilu', a French World War I soldier, inspired by Michelangelo's statue of David, at a WWI memorial in the French southern village of Mas-Grenier. 2014 will mark the 100th anniversary of the First World War, of which the commemorations will be the first without any direct witnesses of the conflict, as they all passed away.
