Former Soviet ice hockey great Vladimir Krutov, a two-time Olympic Games winner and repeated world champion, has died in a Moscow hospital, the Russian ice hockey federation reported on June 6, 2012. On June 3, 2012, Krutov, 52, was rushed into intensive care with an internal haemorrhage with medics failing to save him.
