26 Bike Riders Make Trek from Newtown, CT to Washington, D.C.
Caption: COLLEGE PARK, MD - MARCH 12: (L) Newtown resident Monte Frank (organizer of the Newtown bike ride) and (R) Omar Samaha thanked the participating riders at Proteus Cycles where the cyclists took a break. Frank represented the Connecticut riders and Samaha was one of three riders from Virginia Tech who joined the ride in College Park. Samaha's sister Reema Samaha was killed in the VT shooting incident in 2007. A group of 26 riders biked from Newtown, CT to Washington, D.C. for a rally in support of gun control legislation.
