MEROE, SUDAN – Moroe is the third Nubian capital and royal burial ground of the Nubian Kingdom. Camel men arrive in the morning at the Meroe Pyramids to provide rides for visiting tourist. Meroe is the largest archaeological site in Sudan and the largest pyramid cemetary of the Nile valley.
