Two Militants Killed In Kashmir Gun Battle

SRINAGAR, KASHMIR, INDIA - APRIL 14: A man sits in front of his household items which were gutted in fire during a gun battle between Indian government forces and suspected militants on April 14, 2014, in Ahmad Nagar the outskirts of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir, India. A gun battle that started between Indian government forces and suspected militants on the outskirts of Srinagar late on April 13, and ended today with the killings of two unidentified militants. Two Indian policemen of Special Operation Group were also wounded in the gun battle. A police official said they had information about the presence of militants in Ahmad Nagar area of Srinagar and they laid a cordon, some 15 kms from main centre in the capital. This is the second gun battle between suspected rebels and forces in past two days. On the afternoon of April 13, militants attacked a National Conference Worker killing his two police guards in South Kashmir's Pulwom district. Two militants were also killed following a gunfight.
