BERLIN, GERMANY - MARCH 27: A man holds a banner with the slogan 'No More Lies' after a section of the Berlin Wall was removed to make way for a luxury apartments development on March 27, 2013 in Berlin, Germany. Activists were seeking to stop a stretch of the Berlin Wall, known as the East Side Gallery, from being developed on by a real estate development company. A previous attempt by the developer to remove approximately 25 meters of the wall sparked protests that led to minor clashes with police. Negotiations had been underway and city officials had even offered the developer an alternative property, though removal continued today unannounced and to the surprise of opponents. The East Side Gallery is over one kilometer long and is among the city's biggest tourist attractions. (Photo by Carsten Koall/Getty Images)
