The owner of the shop, Joylet Saidi, started her business after getting a loan from the MicroLoan Foundation which receives funds from the International Monetary Fund and distributes them to three local non-profit groups which help empower women - Nteza, Angola, and Chisangalalo. Lagarde urged Malawi to diversify its economy, saying a reliance on agriculture left the country's economic recovery under President Joyce Banda vulnerable. Lagarde is on a three day visit to Malawi from January 4 to January 6. AFP PHOTO / AMOS GUMULIRA (Photo credit should read AMOS GUMULIRA/AFP/Getty Images)
