BERLIN, Germany: German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder (2nd L) holds a model of the Ariane 5 rocket he was offered by the CEO of Arianespace Jean-Yves Le Gall (L), the general director of the ESA (European Space Agency) Jean-Jaques Dordain (2ndR) and the head of the EADS Space executive board Josef Kind (R), 10 May 2004 at the opening of the International Air Show (ILA) at Berlin's airport Schoenefeld. The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) is set to win a contract worth three billion euros (3.6 billion dollars) with Arianespace for 30 Ariane-5 rockets, an EADS spokesman said 10 May. The ILA, devoted to the civilian and military aerospace business, is the biggest of its kind in Europe, and scheduled from 10 to 16 May 2004. Some 1000 exhibitors from 43 countries wait for an estimated total of 200,000 trade visitors at this year's edition of the show.
