Candidates are competing for a chance to fill the shoes of Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft. Candidates perform freestyle dance, run a 40-yard dash and run two Presidents Races from center field to the home dugout. Developed in 2006, the Racing Presidents are 12 foot oversized mascots who compete in the GEICO Presidents Race during the fourth inning of every Nationals home game.
