DENVER, CO. - FEBRUARY 05: Fred Michelotti and Allen Olmstead (hidden) from Freeman Decorating, carefully position a Piper J-3 Cub up in the air. The Colorado Garden and Home Show has partnered with Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum for the entry garden at the Colorado Convention Center. The museum for the first time has transported about half a dozen planes and gliders to help transform the 5,500-square-foot 'Flowers and Flight' garden for the 54th annual show. Matthew Burchette, curator for the museum, says this was a big deal to take the planes apart for transport to the show, as well as driving whole planes down Denver streets at midnight on flatbed trucks.
