Fifteen-year-old Emanuela Orlandi, the daughter of a Vatican messenger who lived with his family in Vatican City, disappeared on June 22, 1983 when she went to a music lesson. The still unsolved Orlandi saw over the years a number of theories regarding the motives for the crime from claimes that the kidnapping was done by extremist Muslim terrorists to demand the release of Mehmet Ali Agca from prison after he shot pope John Paul II to latest exorcist Gabriele Amorth claiming that she was kidnapped by a member of the Vatican police for sex parties, and then murdered.
