1972 Citroën DS21 Pallas.

1972 Citroën DS21 Pallas. When the Citroën DS was first unveiled in 1955, its futuristic design caused a sensation. As with many Citroëns, it also incorporated numerous technical innovations including the suspension and the pioneering use of plastic in the car's construction. The DS also was a great leap forward from the point of view of comfort and safety. Although once a common sight on French roads, the car did not achieve the same popularity abroad. Production ceased in 1975. (Photo by National Motor Museum/Heritage Images/Getty Images)
