ORANGE COUNTY, CA - UNDATED: EXCLUSIVE. Charlie Chaplain's vintage 1929 Pierce-Arrow car on display in Orange County, California. Chaplin's car is on sale on ebay from a US based vendor in Orange County, California. So far 29 bidders have placed a bid and the current price is $85,300. The classic motor has a 300 horse power engine capable of reaching speeds of up to 85 miles per hour. Charlie Chaplin lived from 1889 to 1977 and was the most famous entertainer in the world during Hollywood's golden era of the 1920's. The legendary actor owned the eight-cylinder manual drive Hollywood status symbol just as the great depression hit America. Classic car expert, Mark Knoss, 54, from New Port Beach in California is handling the sale on behalf of the Automotive Road of Dreams Museum in Orange County California.
