Controversial plans have been given the go ahead for the Las Vegas Sands Corporation to build Europe's biggest casino and conference centre on the outskirts of Madrid bringing thousands of much needed jobs for the Spanish economy. As multi billionaire investor Sheldon Adelson's announced his plans protestors were claiming that the 36,000 room hotel complex would bring gambling addiction, criminal activity, prostitution and environmental damage to the area.
