(Original Caption) 1/25/1949-Berlin, Germany- Stumm police, on orders from the allied kommandatura, check through vehicles for industrial equipment at sector boundaries here. The police were instructed to begin a counter-check blockade today of all vehicles leaving the West sector and going to the East sector. The purpose of this check is to counter-blockade the Russians from receiving industrial equipment from the west sector zone. In the background may be seen the boundary sign and ruined buildings.
