Paperchase - stock illustration
A fat little man leaving the bank with a wallet full of banknotes encounters a stiff breeze which scatters his money along the road. He gives chase, losing his wig, hat, spectacles, umbrella and small change. From ‘The Boy’s Own Paper’ 1879-80, a British newspaper for boys which was at that time published by the Religious Tract Society and which featured stories, heroic deeds, facts, educational items and illustrations.
