Mr. Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima when the United States dropped the first Atomic bomb on Japan, August 6, 1945. He returned to his home in Nagasaki to be treated for the injuries he sustained in the blast, only to experience the bombing of Nagasaki on August 9, 1945.
